Social Media for Social Good has grown out of the initiatives of Resilient Generations a social enterprise, founded by Jacqueline McAdam, that addresses 
issues of social injustice and economic inequalities primarily in Africa. One of Resilient Generations objectives is to donate funds and skills to support the economic development of youth.

The needs of youth have been targeted based on the founder’s expertise in the area of program development for youth in adversity, and the immense employment needs of youth in Africa as a result of the growing number of those under 30 yrs. Africa has one of fastest growing youth populations in the world with approximately 50 % of the population below the age of 30 yrs. The impetus of this specific program was the result of a group coaching session that Jacqueline conducting with youth from the Maji Mazuri Center in 2014.
